The University of St. Mark and St. John in Plymouth Marjon recently hosted the Netball South West Games Conference on 31 May 2015. The Games Conference was attended by over 70 coaches and umpires from across the South West who were treated to a range of truly informative and inspirational workshops by some of the most knowledgeable deliverers in their field of netball expertise.
The Conference included a number of workshops which focused on coach and umpire personal development. Gary Burgess lead informative Umpiring workshops which were followed by Coach Education workshops delivered by Denise Ellis, Maggie Jackson, Anita Navin, Denise Egan, Gilly Salter and Katie Noonan.
Karen Jones, Netball South West Chair, said “What a great day for our coaches and umpires. The volunteers worked really hard to deliver a top-notch conference which exceeded our expectations on all fronts. We’re already looking into the prospect of delivering another event.”

The Netball South West Games Conference was a great success and complimented the national netball conference ‘Make the Game Live’.
