Cornwall NDO - Lucy Higgins
Hello, my name is Lucy and I am the Netball Development Officer for Cornwall, as maternity cover for Fern Noott. I work 2.5 days a week and focus on supporting the Cornwall Netball Management Board with increasing participation. Born and raised in Cornwall, I have played netball since primary school, and my passion for the sport developed when I moved to Australia. I have continued to play right through to today, although am currently recovering from an injury so my return to court is via Walking Netball. I play for a local club, where I also help to coach, umpire and do admin behind the scenes, and am very passionate about injury prevention and management in sport. When I’m not playing, organising, watching or talking about netball (which isn’t very often), you can find me at the beach or in my other role as Deputy Editor at a wedding magazine!
