Each week we bring you a good news story from across the South West as part of our wedNEWSday articles.
As you may have seen there are some exciting changes coming up for the England Netball membership in 2019.
England Netball are now simplifying the membership process and extending the support on offer. This includes:
🔸The introduction of individual sign up through a new membership system – from 2019 all club members will affiliate directly to England Netball. Hopefully this will remove the burden of affiliation processing at the start of the season for many clubs. To make it really easy for clubs the system can also collect your fees at the same time if you would like! We know this is a big change but don’t worry we’ll be talking to you a lot more about this over the coming months and making sure we design the system so you can see at the click of a button who still needs to pay!
🔸The removal of minimum club fees – Many clubs have told us that having to pay for a minimum of 10 members is a barrier to participation and a cost too high for some people. We’ve listened and decided to remove this requirement from next season
🔸Simplification of membership fee structure – There are currently over 1,400 different membership options dependent on age, location and the number of clubs someone plays for. We will be simplifying this so that it is easy for individuals to understand what they need to pay
🔸Launch of League Registration – England Netball will formally engage and offer a support package for affiliated leagues including a league management system and customisable website
These changes are designed to improve the experience for everyone and are planned to come into place during the summer of 2019 ahead of the 2019/20 membership season.
