Netball Marathon FUN-draiser!

A 12 hour Netball Marathon was held at the Dorcan Dome, Swindon to raise money for the local Prospect Hospice.

The 12 hours were made up of a variety of netball activities including a Walking Netball Festival, Junior League matches, a Mixed Netball Tournament and a Fastnet Tournament. Money was also raised from a raffle, a tombola and from the sale of refreshments!

Everyone had a great time during the day, especially ‘Claire’s Bears’ (pictured below) who played in memory of Claire Bassett who sadly died of cancer last year!

The total amount raised for the local Prospect Hospice was a huge £3,071! Well done to everyone that organised the event, those that took part and those that donated – a great amount of money raised for a brilliant cause.
