Netball South West's Club Starter Fund

Posted January 25, 2023 by Poppy O'Reilly

Each week we bring you a good news story from across the South West as part of our WedNEWSday articles.

The Netball South West (NSW) Club Starter Fund is designed to support new clubs and sections of clubs, and encourage people back on court after the Covid-19 pandemic. The fund is a partnership between Netball South West and County Associations to support more people to get involved in clubs and ultimately become members and experience the benefits of playing netball within our regions local clubs and leagues.

With up to £300 per club available the fund can be used for costs associated with starting a new club or section. This can include court costs, equipment (bibs, balls etc), training for coaches or umpires, and member league entry fees.

Clubs can either be completely new Back to Netball clubs, Junior Clubs or additional sections to existing clubs. If they are an addition to an existing club, they must be adding an age group or extra section to the current delivery.

So far this season NSW and Counties have supported Lynn Valley Vixens in Devon, and Lyndean and Team NFL in Gloucestershire.

If you are looking to start a new netball club or add an additional age group to an existing club speak to your Netball Development Officer for more information and how to apply.
