Each week we bring you a good news story from across the South West as part of our wedNEWSday articles.

Over the last 30 days, Chivenor Netters past and present  have been out walking, running, cycling in all weathers to hit their target of 1000 miles, getting out at these hard times and raising money for a local charity Survivors Alliance North Devon CIC.

This team is a group of military wives, just 1 team so to make over 1000 miles was a great effort by all. As players get posted away, we were lucky that some past players helped from different parts of England, 1 in Germany and 1 in America.

Club member Jan, said ‘I would like to thank everyone that took part and sponsored us, supporting each other and sharing a lot of love, I am so proud of all of you and to be part of such an amazing team. We had done our part smashing the 1000 miles target, so if you can spare a little and support this charity we would be very grateful: https://gofund.me/0daed2aa’

Congratulations to all involved, it is a great achievement.
