Each week we bring you a good netball news story from across the South West as part of our wedNEWSday articles. This week is another great example of how a great group of netballers can come together and raise money for a brilliant cause. Wiltshire Walking Netball Pink Week

The newest part of the netball community in Wiltshire, the wonderful Walking Netballers, have fully embraced Net 10 For Life this year and have led the way in raising nearly £200 for Cancer Research UK during their very own “Pink Week”.

The ladies who play across 4 sessions (Tidworth, Salisbury, Trowbridge & Melksham) all donned pink clothing to play in and raised money through various activities in their sessions – including baking cakes and donating 10p per goal scored during games of ‘Killer’. Special mention goes to Sue from Melksham who got her friends and family to sponsor her to wear a tutu during her session -we think she looked fab!

Huge thanks to all the ladies involved and to the Walking Netball hosts and Becca Higgs from Wiltshire Council for coordinating the fundraising efforts!
