Netball South West, Honorary Life Member
Netball South West volunteers commit many days and years of their life to netball in a whole variety of roles and support thousands of participants to access community netball. There are also significant contributions made at Regional, National and International level. These volunteers proudly and passionately represent Netball South West. Netball South West would like to recognise and reward the dedication and commitment of its own very special members through the Netball South West Honorary Life Membership Award. This is seen as a potential stepping stone to nomination for the England Netball Honorary Life Membership Award.
Award criteria
Netball South West will consider awarding Honorary Life Membership to any member who in the opinion of the Board of Trustees and their Awards Panel has rendered special service to Netball South West at a regional level, which can also include national and international level.
The Board and Panel will consider both what this individual’s service consists of and how it has been given to make this nominee so special and their service exceptional. This is not a long service award, but the impact of the individual may be as a result of involvement over many years (including as a player). The nominee could be a member of staff when delivering part of this service.
Self-nomination is not permitted. Nominators should ensure that nominations are kept as confidential as possible to avoid disappointment. Unsuccessful nominations may be resubmitted in subsequent years.
Please note, this award is separate to the national awards and will be recognised regionally.
