Hi, I'm Jude, Avon Netball Chair.
I’ve played and umpired in the Avon league for many years and joined the committee over 20 years ago as County Secretary.
Since then I’ve been vice Chair before becoming Chair about 9 years ago.
During this time I’ve been an International umpire and I now assess, mentor and test at International level.

Avon NDO
Hi, I'm Kerry Brooks, I’m the Netball Development Officer for Avon which covers down to Weston-super- Mare, over to Bath and up to Thornbury in South Gloucestershire. I joined England Netball in April 2019 working full time but returned from maternity leave in January 2022, part time, working Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
What do you enjoy most about your role:
Over the last 5 years I’ve really gotten to know my patch and meet the volunteers, coaches and umpires that make netball happen in Avon. I enjoy knowing and celebrating how much netball happens in the county and being able to contribute towards that. I love working with new partners to identify where more netball opportunities can happen and making that a reality.
What would you like people to know about your role:
Although my main role is to develop netball in the county, my focus can shift daily. Sometimes I am supporting leagues and counties with governance and safeguarding, other times I’m working with School Games Officers to offer primary aged children their first chance of netball and other times I’m running events such as Walking Netball Festivals, Netball Youth Camps or Mixed Netball Tournaments. It feels good to be able to develop the sport from lots of different angles.
